The Aegean Region Chamber of Industry: EBSO

The only regional chamber in Turkey with over 6000 members, EBSO provides services to 3 provinces; namely, Izmir Aydýn, Muðla and their hinterlands. Incorporated, joint stock, and limited liability companies make up 46% and general and limited companies constitute 54% of its membership.

Historically ESBO has always pioneered activities in industrial development in the region, strengthening communications between governments and industrialists. They aims to reinforce professional ethics and unity, assist in the development of industry in conjunction with regional and national interests, collect and compile industrial information, news, and documents, making them available to its members through publications and provide support to businesses by preparing various reports such as industrial capacity, market research and expertise reports.

also provides technical training courses for companies, organises industrial exhibitions and assists in the establishment of newly organised industrial zones. The Chamber has a computer network system through which up-to-the-minute services can be given to its members and to anyone concerned. An Information Centre has been founded to access and give information to all foreign and Turkish firms and people.

The Information Centre establishes common information standards at national level in coordination with the Turkish Union of Chambers.
