Technology, Innovation, Venture Capital Days
and a
Brokerage Event
Technology, Innovation, Venture Capital Days and a Brokerage Event will be organized in Aegean Free Zone Izmir on December 1-2, 2005. This event is supported by TUBITAK (The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey), ESBAŞ (Aegean Free Zone), EBİLTEM (Ege University Science and Technology Centre) and IRC-EGE (Aegean Innovation Relay Centre).
The “1st Venture Capital Days” is a two-day event dedicated to raising financing for ambitious and dynamic entrepreneurs, business oriented researchers and new technology-based firms in Europe and Turkey. The companies are invited to attend, present their business ideas with a business plan and discuss venture opportunities in dedicated bilateral meetings with venture capital firms. Especially the companies operating in IT, Mechanics, Electronics and Automotive sectors will benefit more from Venture Capital Days.
The second activity is a “Brokerage Event”. All selected projects for the Brokerage Event shall be exhibited and presented at the Aegean Free Zone Technology Centre during the conference. The mission of the brokerage event is:
v Encouraging university- industry collaboration for the development of new products, methods and services and thus promoting industrial competition and economic development.
v Promoting and facilitating technology transfer to the industrial sector in the Aegean Region, in all areas of applied research.
v Encouraging and developing integrated, multidisciplinary research projects through industrial and international liaisons.
Additionally, the event also provides a conference for institutional and other investment professionals to meet with policy makers, entrepreneurs, academics and researchers for an open exchange of views and ideas.
